time-machine back plays upon the fact, that a certain amount of time is passing between each recording and its playback.
thus the playback can be regarded as a travel back in time, trying to restore a past sound. this -mostly unreflected- aspect of every sound-recording is focused by the visitors making short (max. 20 sec.) recordings of their voice or the surrounding sounds, write down the date and leave it for someone later to listen to them and eventually exchange the sound for a new one.
